Finding Workable Solutions to the Ongoing Water Crisis in Gwadar. When compared to the past. Gwadar is undergoing a transformation. that is good in terms of its viewpoint and the way public life is being lived. It is still going through the COPHC metamorphosis phase while getting excellent marks. People in Gwadar are on the observing a realistic. and promising transformation in their living conditions, livelihoods, businesses. and the socio-economic dynamics at play there. The credit goes, in fact, to advancements that spearheaded by China.

Developed extraordinarily

There was heavy traffic on the roads. Aside from PC, there was not a single luxury hotel in the area. and PC itself closed for the majority of the time. There were hardly any commercial operations taking place in the city. But things have changed dramatically in the intervening seven years. According to Zhang Baozhong, Chairman of COPHC. “Gwadar has developed extraordinarily well even. if it has not lived up to the people’s hopes for its growth.”

COPHC transformation

Gwadar, which was once a sleepy fishing village. has developed into a significant economic and tourism center in recent years. This is a well-known fact. There is no denying that the process of growth is one. that unfolds gradually over time, but it would not be an exaggeration to claim. that Gwadar poised to become the commercial leader of Pakistan in the near future. The COPHC transformation of the infrastructure. that took place over the course of the time was mostly begun during. the early stages of the port’s construction. and was afterwards exacerbated by the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

Chinese companies in Gwadar

In relation to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). it is of the utmost importance. that all relevant parties work together to devise a mechanism. for an integrated socio-economic development strategy. that takes into account the hopes and ambitions of the people living in Gwadar. which is a small port city of strategic importance located. on the southwestern coast of Balochistan. Gwadar in collaboration

it is essential to have good development communication and positive interaction with the communities in which they located. This was the main theme of a two-day media conclave. and roundtable conference. that held on May 19 in the strategic port town of Gwadar and titled ‘CSR Initiatives in Gwadar (The Gateway to CPEC).’ It was co-organized by the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) Islamabad. and the University of Gwadar in collaboration with COPHC, Gwadar Port Authority (GPA). and Gwadar Development Authority (GDA).

Flagship project

Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) Chairman Naseer Khan Kashani. who was speaking to representatives. from the media at the roundtable discussion, emphasized how important. it is to bring the locals together through community service. and outreach programmed (CSR). He stated that the Gwadar Port was the most important part of the CPEC concept. which cannot become a reality without the multibillion-dollar flagship project. we cannot place the development of infrastructure ahead of the needs of the people to got Kashani reported that a desalination plant. with a capacity of about 1.2 million gallons will be operational in about six to eight months. providing drinking water to residents.

Significant contribution

In addition, our Chinese partners have made a significant contribution. by opening the brand new and state-of-the-art Pak China Vocational Technical Training Institute. This institute provides her three years of training to local children. Mr. Zhang Baozhong, COPHC’s chairman, elaborated on his experience gained. during his seven-year tenure in Gwadar in a presentation as a keynote speaker. He cited the cooperation of the Gwadar people. the city’s vast resources. and its strategic location as his three reasons for Gwadar’s positive outlook. Sheikh Bau emphasized that the people of Gwadar deserve respect. and development in line with the demands placed on them.

The concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR). and the factors that improve the lives of local residents. brought to the public attention. by the company’s chairman of the board, Khalid Al-Rahman. “We need proposals that focus on finding solutions. rather than finding problems,” he added, adding that optimism. and improved governance. would lead to significant changes in the lifestyles of Gwadar residents.
